scholarship to the University of Oxford
FirstRand has entered into a new partnership, for another five years, with the Oxford School of Global and Area Studies to allow an outstanding South African student to study for an MSc in African Studies at one of the world’s foremost universities, the University of Oxford.

Applications will open on
Friday 16 December 2022 and close on Thursday 2 March 2023.

The scholarship will provide full funding for one student a year to study for an MSc at the School of Global and Area Studies at the University of Oxford. The successful candidate will be housed at Wadham College.

FirstRand will conduct the interviewing and selection process, which will run concurrently with the FirstRand international postgraduate scholarship programme. Candidates will be assessed based on academic excellence, leadership ability, community involvement and their potential to be a destiny changer.

Candidates have to apply and be accepted for an MSc in African Studies at the University of Oxford.

Closing date for applications is Friday 20 January 2023, 12:00 UK time.
